What's better, Windows firewall, or Norton Internet Security Firewall?

My brother came over and disabled the firewall. Then when he turned it back on, he turned windows on. Now when we turn on the computer, Norton is telling us to switch to their firewall. Which one is better?

Hi Joyful! I would actually choose whichever one is free! It seems like Windows is really easy to use. Did any of these other answers help? There doesn't seem to be much consensus there. Do you have Norton for your anti-virus? If I did, I would probably use their firewall, so there would be no conflicting issues between the two and you won't get those annoying messages from Norton anymore. If not, I would uninstall Norton all the way so they stop spamming you : )

Neither. Download something like Comodo Personal Firewall for free. I dumped both Windows Firewall and Norton's firewall too.

But if you have to have one of them I guess I'd use the Windows one. I wouldn't trust it any more than Norton but it should be less intrusive.
They are both average but Norton has a little tiny bit better protection. Windows Firewall only blocks incoming stuff.

Norton slows down your computer.

I Hope this helps you!
Neither. Windows firewall does not protect from outgoing threats, and Norton Security is a huge resource hog. Go to the below link and download the free version of Zone Alarm's firewall, and install it. It works very well.
Norton the windows firewall does not catch very much stuff
neither of them are that great, but overall Norton's is a much better firewall!
Neither use Mcafee Internet Security Suite, Norton is bloated and slow your computer and windows firewall is useless
