I checked my power options, they're set properly, and shouldn't be causing this. emachine athlon H3065, windows XP, no recent software, no changes at all. I have to do a manual shutdown and then turn it back on again each time before it will work. I have norton internet security, the latest update, and I ran a virus scan, to no avail...anybody got any other ideas??? please gimme some feedback soon. It's not a huge issue (so far) but it is pretty annoying.
My computer shuts off when I hit stand by, when I try to turn it back on it's like the screen isn't on, IDEAS?norton internet security
Don't use standby on desktop computers. Only Laptops.
For whatever reason, standby on desktops is sometimes really sketchy because not all desktop hardware likes going to sleep.
