Norton Internet Security is a complete packge (antivirus, firewall, spyware protection, adware protection, etc.) Windows Defender is only Spyware protection program, it does not get rid of viruses, it get rid of spyware/adware, trojans. You can have 2 spyware programs on your computer but its not good having 2 antivirus protection program, they will clash with each other making either to not work properly. Window Defender and norton work together so don't fret

You can run Windows Defender and Norton. Don't scan at the same time. Turn off Windows Firewall because it is only one way. You want only one firewall.
Nortan will overide the Windows Security Features and Windows will detect that another piece of software has been installed and will automatically turn off the protection or downgrade it
there would be no dmg involved.. your computer would just run both of them but you don't need 2 virus protections.. each one works the same.. just windows defender is a lot better... .. i recommend using windows defender..
I talked to a pc tech about that and he said all that was needed is one anti-virus program, because with more than one , they would work against each other and slow down the performance of your pc. As far as damage , there would not be any just slows down your pc. Hope this helps.
