Just got a new computer dell xps210. Should i download bittorent, limewire, bearshare, or ares?

which p2p software would be the safest to use? the one with the most security and no spyware, viruses, and worms? PLZ HELP and be honest please.

No... probably not. It is completely legal to have and to operate the above software, but there are draw backs and they are as follows:

1. They open and keep open ports on your system that hackers can break in through and steal your Identity and other personal information.

2. These programs also enable sharing of files to the internet which makes you vulnerable to the hacks.

3. If you use these programs to send and recieve copywrighted files (music, movies, etc). Then you are breaking the law. and RAIAA and others use the same software to track and find, and then prosecute violators.

Consider 1%262, is the security problem worth the risk for sharing legal files ? Only you can decide.

consider #3, it is legal to have this software, just like it is legal to own a gun. You never get into trouble if you use it like it is intended. (and, by the way ... guns are for protection, etc. )

They all are bad and can contain viruses. Make sure you have anti spy installed and a good virus program. I use Limewire but be careful on what you download. Good LucK!
u should definetly not get ares cuz i have dat rite now nd ma screen always turns black...i just hate it
