Has this ever happened to you? My Internet security subscription is about to expire...?

...and I get an email with a virus attached. The anti-virus software warns me about opening it. No harm done, except...the same thing happened 1 year ago. As long as I've had a computer, these are the only 2 virus emails I've ever received and it seems suspicious that both would coincide with the expiration of my anti-virus software. Any thoughts, opinions, or similar experiences?

I'm suspicious by nature, but I'd tend to call this a coincidence.

BUT...you never said which paid product you have...perhaps it *is* on the shady side.

*Also, if "Delights..." reads this, she has to post her own question; but she should run Superantispyware in the mean-time.

I don't know what's wrong with my comp but I got a pop up that said my security expired than all of a sudden uncontrollable pop ups occured. 3 or 4 would come up at a time and two more would come up for each one I deleted. It also tried to automatically install things and all the webpages have sighns an them saying "Your computer may be infected with a a virus". At that point it was NO DUH! now my computer is really slow.
yes this is a bullshit scam trying to trick you into clickin on it

so you get a trojan , just dont click on it , if ur anti virus was

really to expire the program would tell you itself and not send

you an e mail with an attatchment.
You're probably just noticing it since your program is about to expire. Be careful about email attachments and things you click on the internet. When in doubt, don't open it or click it.
