You know how when you Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section and check settings for SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, PCT 1.0 ? well mine does not have PCT1.0 and I need to get into a site that requires that tab to be checked...HELP!?
Computer help???suzuki
First, PCT 1.0 was removed from newer versions of IIS (Internet Information Explorer). Therefore, it does not appear in the option list.
Second, the error message page that pops up when you can't access the secure web page has not been updated recently. Therefore you still see the instruction to enable PCT 1.0.
So, forget PCT 1.0 it is not important. What might be important is a setting in your PC Control Panel. If you are using Windows XP, go to My Computer, Control Panel, Administrative tools, Local Security Settings, Local Policies, Security Options. Go down the list to a setting called HTTP SSL. If this option is not started, you need to start it.
Once you start it, reboot your computer and try to go into the secure web site again. This may help. It helped me.
